Congratulations to all of the competitors from this weekend. I want to send a special thank you to everyone who came to support as well. Also, a special thank you goes out to all of the DGA family that sent encouraging messages on social media.

I thought about something on the way home and I wanted to share. How many people do you know that have a “job” or “jobs” doing exactly what they want to do? Their “job” is their primary source of income that they use to help support and provide for their family.  What if I told you that I was one of the lucky fortunate people who has the opportunity to see people at their best everyday. My “job” is to get you results and your job is to show up and give it your absolute best. It is so simple and beautiful.

A wise man once said it is better to fail at doing something you love rather than failing at doing something you have to do or something someone else wants you to do. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with all of you and thank you for wanting to share your life with us. I honesty do not believe in failure, I only believe in accepting your responsibilities and learning from past mistakes.

 

 

Fitness:

T2b Skill work- We will start from the floor and work our way to the bar

Competition:

A. Back Squat- 15 mins to find 1RM rest as needed
B. 90% of A- AMRAP- 1 set @ 30×1

EMOM for 14 min
Even- 5-8 Burpee Box Jumps-20-25 sec of work
Odd 20-30 UB DU
** Athletes must do 5 Burpee Box Jumps for “each” set that is not UB on the DU
